Değerli Meslektaşımız,
Selçuk Üniversitesi ve Azerbaycan Diller Üniversitesi ev sahipliğinde dilbilim, çeviri çalışmaları, ikinci dil edinimi, kültür çalışmaları ve yabancı dil öğretimi alanlarında çalışan bilim insanlarını bir araya getirmeyi amaçlayan ve 24-25-26 Eylül 2025 tarihinde online oturumları zoom platformunda, yüz yüze oturumları ise Bakü’de gerçekleşecek olan 5. Uluslararası Dil ve Çeviribilim Kongresi’ni düzenlemekten büyük onur duyuyoruz.
Kongrenin amacı dilbilim, çeviri çalışmaları, ikinci dil edinimi, kültür çalışmaları ve yabancı dil öğretimi alanlarında çalışan bilim insanlarını bir araya getirerek bu alanlara özgü araştırma yöntemlerini ve kuramları yeniden gözden geçirmek, ortaya çıkan yeni eğilimleri saptamak, dile, kültüre ve her ikisini bünyesinde barındıran çeviriye ilişkin temel güncel sorunları ele almak, kısacası bu alanlarda geçmişi ve bugünü eleştirel bir bakışla değerlendirmek ve geleceğe ilişkin öngörülerde bulunmaktır. Temennimiz, kongrenin çevrimiçi bir platformda dinamik bir tartışma ortamı yaratarak yepyeni bakış açılarına ve önerilere zemin hazırlaması, geçmiş ile bugünün, eski ile yeninin, geleneksel ile modernin ikili karşıtlıklar biçiminde değil de bir devamlılık ilişkisi biçiminde ele alınmasına katkıda bulunmaktır.
Dil ve Çeviribilim alanlarında önemli isimlerin açılış konuşmalarıyla şereflendirecekleri 4. Uluslararası Dil ve Çeviribilim Kongresi’ne bildirilerinizle katılmanız bizleri mutlu edecektir. Kongrenin sunum dili Türkçe, Azerbaycanca, İngilizce, Arapça, Çince ve Rusça olarak belirlenmiştir.

We are pleased to announce that the 5th International Congress of Language and Translation Studies will be held online on zoom, Turkiye and face-to-face in Baku, Azerbaijan on September 24th-25th-26th, 2025 hosted by Selcuk University and Azerbaijan University of Languages.
The congress aims to bring together distinguished scholars and researchers studying linguistics, translation studies, SLA, culture studies, and foreign language teaching. Its objective is to review the theories and research techniques in these fields, address contemporary issues, evaluate past and present critically, and make suggestions for the future. We intend for the congress to pave the way for new perspectives and directions, creating a dynamic online platform for discussions that transcend binary oppositions between the past and the present, the old and the new, and the traditional and the modern.
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 5th International Congress of Language and Translation Studies hosted by Selcuk University and Azerbaijan University of Languages. Your research will be a significant contribution to this congress, and we would be honored to have your participation. The presentation languages of the congress are Turkish, Azerbayjani, English, Russian, Chinese and Arabic.

YYou are required to submit an abstract prepared in two languages, one of which must be English, and the other can be either Turkish, Azerbayjani, Russian, Chinese, or Arabic.

To prepare your abstract, please review our abstract template. Please ensure that your abstract conforms to the format provided in our template.
1- Your abstract should be at least 250 and at most 400 words
2- Must have at least 3 keywords
3- Should be written using Times New Roman with 12 font size and single line spacing
4- The author’s title, name, and surname, institution and e-mail addresses should be written under the title.
5- Abstracts should be written in two languages. One of the abstracts must be in English. The abstract to be written in the second language could be Turkish, Azerbayjani, Russian, Arabic or Chinese.

Türkiye’den çevrimiçi katılımcılar için 1.500 Türk Lirası

Not 1: Kabul edilen çok yazarlı bildirilerden yüz yüze oturumlarda sadece dinleyici olarak katılmak isteyen yazarların dikkatine:
Kongremiz yüz yüze oturumlarına dinleyici olarak katılım sağlayacak olan yazarlar için belirlenen dinleyici katılım ücreti 1000 TL’dir.
Bu ücret, kongre materyallerine erişim, oturumlara dinleyici olarak katılım, katılım belgesi, ara ikramlar, yaka kartı gibi hizmetleri kapsamaktadır.
Yüz yüze sunum yapacak olan yazarlar için geçerli olan kayıt ücreti uygulaması yukarıda belirtildiği haliyle devam etmektedir.

TAM METİN YAZIM KURALLARI
Sunum dili Türkçe, Azerbaycanca, İngilizce, Arapça, Çince veya Rusça olabilir ancak tam metinlerin Türkçe veya İngilizce hazırlanması zorunludur.
Metinler, APA 6 yazım kuralı düzenine göre oluşturulacaktır.
– Metinde 12 punto Times New Roman yazı karakteri kullanılır.
– Metin, A4 boyutlarındaki kâğıda üst, alt, sağ boşluk 2,5 cm ve sol boşluk 2,0 cm bırakılarak, iki yana dayalı, satır sonu tirelemesiz şekilde olmalıdır.
– Paragraflarda ve başlıklarda 1,0 cm girinti olmalıdır.
– Paragraf sekmesinde aralık bölümünde önce alanı 0 nk ve sonra alanı 6 nk, satır aralığı ise 1,5 olmalıdır.
– Makale başlığı Türkçe ve İngilizce şeklinde alt alta 14 punto, Times New Roman, kalın (bold) ve ortalanarak yazılmalıdır.
– Çalışma daha önce bir kongre/sempozyum vb. sunulmuşsa, bir projeden veya tezden üretilmişse başlığın sonuna * dipnotu konularak açıklama yapılmalıdır.
– Yazar isimleri 12 punto, Times New Roman ve düz olmalıdır. Yazarın/yazarların tam adları makale başlığının altında ortalı olarak verilmeli; çalıştıkları kurumlar (üniversite, fakülte ve bölüm adları), şehir ve ülke isimleri ile e-posta adresleri ise dipnotta belirtilmelidir.
– Öz ve Abstract 11 punto, 1,0 satır aralığı, Times New Roman yazı karakteri kullanılarak hazırlanmalı ve 250-400 kelime arasında olmalıdır. Özde atıf kullanılmamalıdır. Türkçe tam metin olarak yazılmış çalışmalarda mutlaka İngilizce başlık ve “Abstract”, İngilizce tam metin olarak yazılmış çalışmalarda ise mutlaka Türkçe başlık ve “Öz” bulunmalıdır.
– Anahtar kelimeler ve Keywords 4-8 kelime arası olmalıdır.
– İngilizcede yaygın olan ifadeler ve kısaltmalar italik yazılmamalıdır. Örneğin, apriori, vis-a-vis, per se vb…
– Metindeki bir ifade, daha çok vurgulamak amacıyla italik yapılmamalıdır.
– Kaynak gösterme metin içinde olmalıdır. Açıklamalar dipnot şeklinde verilmelidir; metin sonuna konulmamalıdır.
– Tam metinler en az 8 en fazla 35 sayfa aralığında olmalıdır.
FULL TEXT WRITING RULES
The presentation language of your paper could be Turkish, Azerbayjani, English, Arabic, Chinese or Russian; however, full texts must be prepared in Turkish or English.
The texts are to be written according to the APA 6 spelling rule layout.
– 12 point Times New Roman font is used in the text.
-The text should be based on both sides, without hyphenation, leaving margins at the top, bottom, right margins 2.5 cm and left margins 2.0 cm on A4 size paper.
Paragraphs and headings should have 1.0 cm indent.
-In the Paragraph tab, in the spacing section, first the field should be 0 pt, then the field should be 6 pt, and the line spacing should be 1.5.
– The title of the article should be written one under the other in Turkish and English, with 14 font size, Times New Roman, bold and centered.
-If the study has been presented in a congress/symposium etc. before, if it was produced from a project or thesis, an explanation should be made by adding a * footnote at the end of the title.
– Author names should be 12 point, Times New Roman and plain. The full names of the author(s) should be centered under the title of the article, the institutions (university, faculty and department names), city and country names and e-mail addresses should be indicated in the footnote.
-Öz and Abstract should be prepared using 11 font size, 1.0 line spacing, Times New Roman font and should be between 250-400 words. Reference should not be used in the abstract. Studies written in full text in Turkish should include the English title and “Abstract”, while studies written in English full text should have a Turkish title and “Öz”.
– Anahtar kelimeler and Keywords should be between 4-8 words.
– Common expressions and abbreviations in English should not be written in italics. For example, apriori, vis-a-vis, per se etc …
– An expression in the text should not be italicized in order to emphasize more.
-Citation should be within the text. Explanations should be given in footnotes and not at the end of the text.
–Full papers should be between a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 35 pages.

Dear Participant, please carefully read the following information:
– It is mandatory to deliver an oral presentation of your abstract at the Congress. Abstracts not presented orally (both in-person and online) will not be published in the congress book, and participation certificates will not be issued for abstracts not presented orally. In jointly authored studies, one author’s presentation is sufficient.
– Please log into the system 15 minutes before your session starts. (for online participation)
– Upon logging into the system, you will directly join the digital registration desk and waiting room. Our technical team will assist you in transitioning to the presentation room.(for online participation)
– Please ensure your name is displayed as your first and last name on Zoom.(for online participation)
– Presentations are limited to 13-15 minutes (both in-person and online). Therefore, focus on the purpose, findings, and conclusions of your study, avoiding merely providing theoretical information.
-To ensure sessions run smoothly and not to keep participants waiting for the next session, please make sure your presentation does not exceed the allocated time (13-15 mins).
– Regardless of your presentation’s order, it is mandatory to remain in the session hall from the beginning to the end. Please keep your microphone muted while listening to presentations to avoid audio interference. You may also record your own session if you wish. (for online participation)
– As international scholars are attending our congress, if you are presenting in Turkish, please prepare your slides bilingually (with both Turkish and English text on the same page).
– Participation certificates will be sent to you as PDFs after the congress.
– To avoid any inconvenience during the publication process, please carefully read the deadlines and publication alternatives provided in the congress schedule and publication options section. Full texts not submitted within the specified timeframe cannot be published.
– Once electronic congress books are published, copies will be sent to relevant institutions and libraries by the publisher. After this stage, as the book is recorded in many places and shared electronically by thousands, it gains the status of a printed work, and no changes, additions, or deletions can be made to the book. Therefore, please carefully review your submissions before sending the final version.
– Session chairs are fully authorized to initiate sessions, conduct question and answer sessions, and manage all aspects of the session on behalf of our organizing committee.
– Our congress is of international quality in terms of the evaluation process, the structure of the scientific and advisory boards, and participant diversity, meeting the criteria for academic advancement.

-Our session chairs are fully authorized to manage sessions on behalf of the organizing committee.
– After entering the digital session hall, you may start the session with a brief opening speech at the scheduled session start time.
– While we recommend following the presentation sequence in the program, you may change the order during the session if necessary.
– Each presentation is allocated 13-15 minutes. Participants need to adhere to the presentation time limits. You may conduct the question and answer session after each presentation or at the end of the session.
